HONOURING LEADERSHIP IN TIMES OF TRANSITION

Listen to Audio Version:

The church is a solid place to grow and bond with the community. It is a place to find love, strength, stability and a reason to keep going, being evident that we all need each other, including our pastors.

When Israel fought in the valley in Exodus 17, victory was dependent on how long Moses held up his staff, but because Moses was human, his hands grew weary. Aaron and Hur stepped in to assist him, and Israel won the battle.

With our beloved resident Pastor now retired, our church family stands in a season of transition while we trust God for the under-shepherd he is preparing. In the meantime, our youth pastor alongside a dedicated team of volunteer pastors, has stepped up to hold up the staff on our behalf.

When we assist our leaders and give them the honour they deserve in their position of leadership, we help to relieve them of the stress and weight that comes with filling up a gap. We let them know that their labour is seen, and valued. And with prayers, we guard their hearts.

Just as you supported our now retired pastor, God is calling you to channel that same dedication and warmth to our youth pastor and volunteer pastors, who are holding up the staff. Our showing up and serving means a lot to them.
