It’s another mission Sunday! And this time, we are renewing our commitment to the gospel.
The things we enjoy today as a church, as a community, many people suffered and made a lot of sacrifices just so we could enjoy them. These sacrifices were born out of commitment to the gospel. And now, it’s our turn to pass on the baton.
As a church, the missions of the gospel is our primary responsibility. When we neglect this responsibility, we miss out on what God wills for us to do as seen in Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”
Pastor Henry Duro emphasized that we are not limited to a specific location, as Christ has called us to go into all the nations. This means that there is no one we cannot tell about the ministry of Jesus. Regardless of their religion, social status or whatever differences they might have.
As a church, we renew our commitment to recover our passion for missions. We return to Christ, we return to prayer, we return to the great commission, we support missionaries faithfully, we mobilize every member we have, we train and disciple our younger generation and we celebrate every soul won, because this is the will of the One who sent us.
In Federal Estate Baptist church, we understand that it is not enough to be financially strong, doctrinally strong, numerically large, and historically respected. If we fail in our God-given mission, we miss it all.
