2026: My Year of Divine Glorification. John 17 vs 5

God’s Love For the World is an Investment

The word in John 3:16 cannot be excluded when talking about the love of Christ. It summarizes the vastness of God’s love and his investment through the love He has for the world. This investment is Jesus. This love is Jesus. Jesus is the love of  God personified.

Why does God love us? So we can love him back. So we can carry his love around and have the authority to boldly say that we are Sons and Daughters of God. Therefore, if the love of God is an investment and we carry it within us, our investment of God’s love should be to others around us.

 What does this mean?

“We should build good relationshipships with others, settle disagreements, lay down our lives for others, be considerate and put ourselves in others’ shoes. We should build synergy and collaborate with others, be friends with one another no matter the age difference, honour and respect one another, by doing so, there’ll be no impossibility amongst us.” Rev’d Tunji Bamgbose admonished the church.

The love of God in our lives must be active not dormant. It must be expressive in giving always, without conditions or partiality. This is why God sent his son Jesus to show us how to do love like Him. We must follow the life of Christ to fully know and show God’s love to the world.
