Chosen for Glorification

Rev’d Dr. Tunji Bamgbose as always, preached Jesus, this time focusing on the assurance of our glorification as exemplified in Christ Jesus through His glorification. He titled the sermon: Chosen for Glorification, highlighting these declarations from the following bible texts: John 17 and Matthew 5:1-9.

  • I am an  ambassador of Christ
  • I carry the glory of Jesus
  • I believe in Christ Jesus
  • Christ prayed and prays for me, therefore I am redeemed and glorified before God. My only role is to believe and stand firm in Christ in all circumstances.
  • I am a Christian through faith because the life of Christ is a life of faith
  • I am not ordinary because I carry the glory of God with me everywhere
  • I am protected from worldly evil
  • I am who God says I am.

Declaring these truths are good, however, it is not enough to solely claim them. Rev’d reminded the church of our responsibilities, as believers, to enter into the glory of God:

  • You must be called out of the world of sin. John 17:6
  • You must not just read, but keep and put to practice the word of God to the latter.
  • You must be a receiver of the Word of God.

He further stressed that “you’re chosen to be glorified by God only if you’re born again, if you believe in the manifestation of God in Christ Jesus, and if you believe in the name of Jesus.”

In closing, Jesus freely gave his life up for us and intercedes on our behalf to God. With this truth, Rev’d Bamgbose asked the church, “why should you doubt your importance in this world and your glorification in Christ Jesus?”

Church, jack up your faith in Christ!

When Rev’d said you won’t get to know the deep things of God until you choose to come up the mountain with Jesus, I felt it.

This life of faith no be beans fr, na real hard work like climbing mountain.
