The Life, Power and Blessings of God’s Love

Speaking on the Life, Power and Blessings of God’s Love, Rev’d Tunji Bamgbose, once again, brought to fore the love of God that we are experiencing, ‘a life that is eternal and full of blessings and glory.’ He affirmed to the church that the love of God is as old as God himself, having no beginning nor an end, carrying a refreshing power, giving everlasting joy, peace, and happiness. With the love of God, there is no room for perishing, but a transformation and revitalization of the soul eternally. (John 3: 16)

The Rev’d reminds the church that God’s love is unconditional, and we belong to Him, therefore, the church must see through the eyes of love. If the seed of  God is in you, your love must carry the power of revitalizing, refreshing the lives of people, making people good, making people happy, and making people live in peace. However, our mandate as Christians is not only to proclaim this love of God to people, but to our nation likewise.

Therefore, there must not be hatred of tribes, or wicked men in us, but a likeness of God as a God of love. Because God did not create the world out of hatred, but out of love. Therefore, no matter the ruin, destruction, devastation, or problem going on in the world or in our individual lives, the unchanging love of God has the power of redemption, transformation, and revitalization.

What is the purpose of the love of God? ‘To make the people glad and rejoice in the goodness and faithfulness of God.’ (Joel 2: 23-27). Hence, do you believe ‘for God so loved the world?’ Do you believe that Christ is the embodiment of God’s love? Do you believe in Christ? Your belief in these is the assurance of God’s blessings and power through his love.

Through His love, we inherit a  lasting blessing, a lasting glory, and an eternal life.
